The Bridge House guiding philosophy is based on the idea of the therapeutic milieu.   In this setting, the Bridge House staff helps residents resolve conflicts and learn appropriate behaviors as well as teaching them the core values of trust, respect, and responsibility.  There is a strong emphasis on self-help and the belief that each individual has the power to change his or her life for the better.  Much more than just sharing a living space at a clean and sober living facility, residents at Bridge House must actively participate in their personal recovery program.

Our Program – Life at Bridge House

The Bridge House program operates under firm rules and expectations of residents:  Men and women accepted into Bridge House must be clean and sober for 30 days prior to admission - and there is a non-negotiable zero tolerance regarding relapse. They must also invest in their recovery with payment of a monthly fee of $290 per month and must also provide for their own transportation.

Life at Bridge House is structured, and each individual is expected to contribute to the well-being of the “ʽohana” – the Hawaiian word for family, through sharing chores such as cooking, maintenance of the facility and other responsibilities.  Residents may live at Bridge House for up to six months.
